Our Ministries to Adults

Bible STUDIES
Bible studies for adults vary in both kind and time of holding to accommodate people’s diverse and complex schedules. Some may be long-term weekly, or even monthly, studies. Others may be short-term, lasting as little as four weeks. These are informal and geared to provide solid, systematic Bible teaching to equip adults for godly living. They are hosted in homes, churches and other institutions.

PATTERNS OF THE HEART
Patterns of the Heart is a ministry to women that features Bible-centered seminars, retreats and counseling.

DISCIPLESHIP AND MENTORING
Discipleship and mentoring are aspects of PAM’s ministry to women that emphasize compassion, understanding and support for those in pain and needing one-on-one care.  Some PAM workers have been trained as Biblical counselors and are gifted to help the hurting. Often women are surrounded with a maze of confusion that needs to be dispelled and replaced with a Biblical perspective.

TEACHER TRAINING
Teacher training workshops and seminars are held throughout the year. Their purpose is to train Sunday school and vacation Bible school teachers, children’s church leaders, and others to communicate the Word of God most effectively. Some of the workshops are also geared to training volunteers to teach home Bible clubs.

GUEST SPEAKERS / WORKSHOP LEADERS
Guest speakers or workshop leaders are often needed by local churches, and PAM missionaries are available to serve in this way. They will present the work of BCM at missions conferences. They are also equipped to teach a class at local Bible schools.

SPECIALIZED MINISTRIES
Specialized ministries are currently being carried on with immigrants living in the Philadelphia area from West Africa, Brazil, and Mexico.
