Philadelphia Area Ministries, or PAM, is an urban ministry of BCM International. BCM, standing for Bible-Centered Ministries, is a world-wide organization serving in 50 countries, with more than 700 full-time missionaries.  PAM, as our full name suggests, consists of the BCM missionaries in the Greater Philadelphia area. 

Our ministry began in 1936, as a ministry to address the spiritual needs of children in Philadelphia through Bible clubs. That emphasis continues, but it is now expanded to include teens and adults as well. We are also involved in assisting the local church to train its members to reach the lost.  Currently 13 full-time missionaries serve under PAM throughout Philadelphia, and also in Delaware County and South Jersey. Working closely with our missionary team is a committee of dedicated laymen that pray for the work, support, advise, and help in many ways.
 
We are also indebted to dozens of volunteer workers who serve under our missionaries and broaden the impact of PAM’s ministry to help us fulfill our mission’s original purpose of “reaching children and developing churches.”
